Children, Youth & Families — Strength for Today, Opportunities for Tomorrow
The Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation offers, through the “Children, Youth & Families — Strength for Today, Opportunities for Tomorrow” campaign, numerous options of how you can make an impact.
The Foundation supports the many programs that are offered to the children, youth and families that the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society provides services to. That’s 1 in 8 children in our area. Each of these children has a story, a story that is still waiting to unfold, a story that aspires to a happy ending.

What will your Legacy look like?
You have friends and family that love you. You’ve done your best to make a positive impact on those closest to you. You’ve lived fully. What’s next?
Virginia Rivest and her husband, Sidney, were faced with that exact question. Together, they worked hard, made homes and travelled the world. They never missed the opportunity to meet with family and friends. Virginia was an exceptional hostess, ensuring all visitors felt welcomed.
Together, they felt education was essential to success so they developed academic bursaries for their nieces and nephews. As a final act of generosity, and cementing a decision she and her late husband agreed upon, Virginia left a Legacy Gift to the Education Bursary Program of the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation (WECAF). As a result, the lives of youth will be changed
for years to come.
Living lives of influence and support, the legacies of Virginia and Sidney Rivest will forever impact children, youth and families. When you choose to plan your estate, consider expanding the warmth of your generosity by including those young lives that will be changed forever by WECAF programs. There are many ways you can help.
