Joining the Board of Directors of the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation has provided me the privilege of supporting children who need our help. I feel that all of us can assist in some way to help improve the quality of life for these children. I am honored to be a part of it.

I joined the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation to give back to my community and the opportunity to positively affect change to the children in our community.  I look forward to helping our children in any way as there are many more challenges in this world today compared to my generation.

As a lifelong resident of Windsor/Essex County, I believe it is my responsibility and duty to give back to my community; a community that has given so much to me and my family. I would like to share my skills and network to raise awareness, money and resources to support these children who deserve an opportunity to shine.

Knowing that the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society touches the lives of one out of every eight children in our community makes such a compelling case for the importance of the work of both the Society and the Foundation. I believe providing children with opportunities to learn, grow and smile is crucial to their development and the WECAF is at the heart of making this happen.

As a parent you strive to ensure their generation is provided with the tools and support to instill a strong future. Families are the root of our community. Helping support and build stronger families will only make our community stronger.

I feel that if you live and work in a community, and have the ability to make positive change, then you have an obligation to do so. I have joined the Children’s Aid Foundation to better understand our community and help raise funds to assist those in need.

The work of the foundation is impactful. By supporting important programming and creating meaningful opportunities for the children, young adults and families involved with CAS in our region, we all benefit as a broader community.

The need for programming and support for our local families, children and youth is vast and continuous. I feel very strongly that every child deserves a chance to live their best life with health, wellness and safety. I am grateful, due to my involvement with WECAF, to have the opportunity to assist and serve our communities.

I joined the board because of the great work WECAS does in our region. Thousands of children and families have been supported by WECAS and the foundation can offer much-needed assistance and support to WECAS. I intend to leverage my network to encourage enhanced participation and collaboration between the business community and WECAF.
