Some Windsor-Essex youth should soon be feeling the warmth, thanks to several local car dealerships. The Rafih Auto Group’s We Care program on Thursday donated winter coats, hats and gloves to the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society. The winter wear was collected during the month of December from all the company’s dealerships in Windsor, Essex and Leamington.
Each dealership asked customers, staff and partners to donate gently used items, as well as gift cards, for those in need. Rafih Auto Group vice-president Zeyad Rafih also purchased new coats to boost the donation total. “It’s very important to the Rafih Auto Group to give back to the community and for the second year, we have assisted Children’s Aid Society families in need in our community,” Rafih said in a news release. “We always want to give back to the community, especially at this time.” A presentation was held Thursday at the Jaguar Land Rover Windsor dealership on Tecumseh Road East.
